By far the greatest challenge for many of us throughout lockdown has been the need to oversee our children's education at home via 'distance learning'. Whether it be maintaining full-time employment at the same time or managing multiple children on different schedules and tasks, the pressure has been immense and the challenges substantial. As we send our children back to school it is a great chance to reflect on the lessons learnt and how readily they apply to the challenges we face in leadership in the workplace. With the immense challenges ahead in engaging and retaining talent these lessons in leadership will be put to very good use - albeit hopefully with fewer tantrums and time-outs than many of us may have endured over the last four months!
