2024 in review

As 2024 comes closer to the end, Carrera’s team members have taken a moment to stop and reflect on all we have achieved this year… One of our biggest and busiest years ever, we have increased our service offering in our talent management consulting process while going deeper with a number of clients, working with them in close partnership to deliver recruitment, engagement and development solutions. A quick group brainstorm and we soon realised…

  1. Several major recruitment programs working with clients on major change projects, recruiting roles from sales and marketing, to finance, supply chain & logistics and HR

  2. A number of executive search assignments, headhunting Heads of Sales, Commercial Directors and CFOs for new assignments

  3. Placing dozens of sales and marketing candidates from Account Executives all the way to Sales and Marketing Director level roles

  4. Driving employee engagement and focus of people-related initiatives with our biannual Employee Pulse Surveys

  5. Multiple remuneration benchmarking assignments to assist employers in ensuring salaries and benefits remain in line with market

  6. Delivered a development program for Managers for multiple cohorts, focusing on how they can coach their teams to drive performance and engagement

  7. Strategic workforce planning and organisational development workshops and programs with several clients to ensure their org structure was built to ensure the right people in the right roles now and into the future

  8. One-on-one executive coaching programs with senior leaders to build leadership capability and competence

  9. Supporting an SME client with org design, role development, job description creation and regular strategy planning workshops

  10. Sales capability development programs for account management teams in liquor and FMCG

And of course, this extensive list does not include the MANY coffee and zoom meetings we have had with clients guiding them through the challenges of the current talent landscape – supporting with issues such as hybrid working, succession planning and employee wellbeing. Not to mention all the work Michael Floyd does in his capacity as a Board Member for several businesses, advising and supporting on their people and performance strategies.

Wow, no wonder we are looking forward to a break in 5 weeks time! In the meantime though there are still many programs on the go and new roles to be recruited before the year comes to a close. At the same time we are planning ahead for 2025 which looks to be even bigger and busier!
