About the role
The position of Sales & Marketing Manager is a newly created role that will take responsibility for the company’s sales and marketing operations. Reporting to the Managing Director and working effectively cross functionally the role will lead a small national sales team across all channels while developing capability in trade and consumer marketing.
The focus of the role is to grow market share through the creation of new channels and new key accounts.
The responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
Develop and manage the execution of the annual sales and marketing strategy.
Develop a segment strategy to ensure we target the right channels and the right accounts for each brand, offering, pricing, and positioning against competitors.
Manage key objectives, goals and sales targets for each of the brands.
Lead the national sales team to support retail partners in growing sales and brands awareness at a store level.
Monitor key account plans to reduce cost to service while driving processes efficiency, growth and profitability for both the company and retail partners.
Identify major accounts to grow new business and identify new growth accounts.
Build an events-based capability using internal staff and external partners to increase consumer engagement and awareness of key brands.
Drive the development of sales and marketing collateral, POS material and marketing programs required to help retailers sell products more effectively.
Work with the team and external agencies to build trade and digital marketing capabilities all driving the B2B and B2C platforms, brand awareness and sales
Skills and experience
Experience in a hands on sales leadership position, exposure to category and senior marketing leadership positions is highly desirable
Deep understanding of key national and independent specialty retailers
Demonstrated ability driving commercial outcomes
Experience leading and coaching a sales team
Knowledge of CRM / ERP systems and experience with reporting on sales growth and marketing ROI
Demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships internally within the team and externally with customers and stakeholders
Strong communication, relationship building and presentation skills
