About the role
While the primary focus of this role is on Self-Managed Superannuation Funds, this role will be required to assist the broader Business Services and Taxation Client Advisory team with statutory compliance work for Individuals, Trusts, Partnerships, Companies and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds.
Responsibilities
As the firm’s Superannuation specialist, you will be the go-to person for superannuation related direction, advice, administration, compliance, and overall management of the clients’ Self-Managed Superannuation funds
Provide exceptional customer service and general advice to members relating to their superannuation requirements
Preparation and completion of Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) compliance files
Provide the business with potential risk identification, value add opportunities and commercial recommendations for allocated clients
Keep up-to-date with relevant SMSF and general taxation legislation and compliance issues, maintain overall technical proficiencies and communicate with the rest of the team any necessary tax or compliance updates
Ensure high quality customer service and general advice to members relating to their superannuation funds
Build and maintain strong relationships of trust with members and internal colleagues
Liaise with clients as well as internal and external stakeholders regarding their Superannuation accounts and details
Skills and experience
To be the successful candidate for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree and CA or CPA
4-5+ years’ experience in public practice accounting firm
FASEA qualification (or completing qualifications)
Excellent communication both verbal and written
Experience providing client advice
