About the role
Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role will be the primary point of contact for On and Off Premise Independent customers, coordinating all sales and marketing activity and ultimately creating profitable change for both customers and the business. The key driver of the role will be building relationships with key customers and growing distribution.
Responsibilities
This highly autonomous position will be accountable for:
Development and execution of the key account sales plans
Achievement of sales and margin budgets across all Independent retail groups and subgroups
Building effective long term commercially focused relationships
Identifying developing and implementing promotional planning opportunities
Effectively planning and coordinating territory coverage
Leveraging existing relationships to gain incremental distribution at store level
Delivering defined targets and outcomes for both new business and growth in existing accounts
Executional excellence of in-store merchandising, audits, and promotional execution
Disciplined record keeping and attention to detail on reporting
Skills and experience
To be successful you must be authentic and a commercially oriented relationship builder that identifies opportunities and develops a sales process to win and grow business.
In addition to this you will:
Demonstrate experience in working with Business Plans to achieve sales objectives
Have strong understanding of beer/liquor distributor and Independent retail groups (or knowledge of how retail groups and subgroups operate)
Be able to articulate your business development process and demonstrate how you drive yourself to achieve
Have extremely strong planning and organisational ability, prioritising key activities
Show strength in understanding the numbers especially around pricing and profitability
Understand the importance of reporting and communication
Be a strong communicator and presenter
